At the end of November we were a sponsor for the Thriller Charity Boxing Event in Queenstown.  The event is in it's 8th year and is at the top of the "must do" events for the Queenstown area.  Proceeds from this year's events went to the Branches Charitable Trust.  The Trust was established in 2009 to ensure the on going viability of the Wakatipu High School Branches Camp.
A great night of boxing was enjoyed by Will and some of our Southern clients.

The telehandler is versatile machine predominantly used to move and lift materials around building sites.

This machine is unbeatable for manoeuvrability; it has an extremely tight turning circle and three different steering modes making it possible to position the machine accurately for best reach. Steering modes include: Front or Two Wheel Steer, Round or Four Wheel Steer and Crab Steer.

Our telehandlers are powered by a four cylinder Deutz turbo-charged diesel engine, perfectly suited for driving the machine in all conditions. Additional stabilisation can be added using optional outriggers which also significantly increase the load capacity at maximum reach.

Adding to this machines versatility; fork, bucket and crane extensions are also available.

Telehandlers are currently available from our Sockburn, Otago and Lakes branches, but we can transport them where ever they are needed.

Health & Safety

As we near the end of what’s been a hectic year in all regions, it is time for a gentle reminder of your obligation as the ‘Operator”.
Worksafe NZ are very active in ensuring that daily checks are being completed and Logbooks signed off.  Lights and alarms are not to be disabled – doing so will likely end in penalty by way of individual fines for those involved.

Competency will also likely be tested, with the majority of large commercial construction companies adopting the “Operator Licence” as mandatory.  There are two recognised options available within New Zealand – the Silvercard/NZQA card, or the international ISO accredited IPAF card.  Accessman offers training on both qualifications.  For further information please contact training@accessman.co.nz

Machine of the Month

This is a new "bit" we are going to be doing.  Each newsletter we will showcase 2 machines from our staff from around the country. Information that you won't find on any of the spec sheets.  And possibly a small insight into some of our Accessman staff.  To kick things off, we have James & Pete in Blenheim and Mark in Sockburn.

From James & Pete in Blenheim
The Haulotte HA12CJ+ is an electric 12m knuckle-boom which has excellent manoeuvrability in the tightest spaces, zero tail swing and a compact stowed height means it can pass through doorways. Silent and with no diesel fumes, an excellent machine for use around wineries and indoors such as the WW2 museum at Omaka which was actually designed around this machine so it can get between the displays.
As you can see from the photo, Pete loves it!

From Mark in Christchurch
With not only being an all terrain four wheel drive and its ability to level its platform 10 degrees front to back and 14 degrees side to side, the
MEC Speed Leveller is perfect for working on ramps and slopes.
This machine has a 4.3m (L) x 1.9m (W) platform size and gives you a working height of up to 11 metres whilst also having the option to drive at height.
