We have done it!
Great well deserved result for the Doolyttle Performance team, we managed to get the podium we were after here at Highlands Motorsport park for the New Zealand Endurance Champs.
3rd place! Well done Jack!! A fantastic result for all your hard work
Update: 17 October 2018
It’s been a great time and opportunity with the DooLyttle Performance team, competing in the South Island endurance series with George McFarlane in the Porsche GT3R.
Round 3, held at Timaru we qualified P5 for the 3 hour race. George my co driver started the race, 45mins into the race he felt a vibration coming from the gearbox. The team made a valuable decision to pit and not do any further damage. Unfortunately the gearbox mount had come unstuck causing the gearbox to be lose while driving. The team worked away to get us back on track, but having to spend 52mins in the pit garage wasn’t ideal. The main thing was we didn’t do any further damage to the largely expensive gearbox. I went back out when the car was fixed and finished the race.
We still managed to finish 3rd overall in class for the three rounds, which was great to reward the team after all the hours they put into preparing the car.
Well done Jack and best of luck for your next outing…
The big New Zealand Endurance championship 3 hour race, which is held at Highlands Motorsport park November 23-24. The top 20 cars from the North Island endurance series come down and the top 20 cars from the South Island all go head to head at this event.
